The 5th graders at East Omak Elementary have had a meaningful and engaging celebration of Native American Heritage Month! Participating in activities such as enjoying a performance by the Indigenous Enterprise Dancers, exploring traditional artifacts, sampling local foods like salmon and huckleberries, creating art, and listening to storytelling offers them a rich cultural experience. These activities not only honor Native American traditions but also help students develop a deeper understanding and appreciation of Indigenous cultures and of our local tribe. We are certainly grateful for these opportunities!
