🌏🍜Exploring the Flavors of Asia in Our Global & Cultural Unit! 🍜🌏
Last week, our Omak Middle School culinary students dove into the rich and diverse world of Asian cuisine as part of our Global and Cultural Foods unit!
We explored the three main regions of Asia—East, Southeast, and South Asia—and discovered the unique ingredients and popular dishes from each area. Students learned how culture, geography, and history shape food traditions across the continent.
To bring our learning to life, we rolled up our sleeves and made dumplings completely from scratch—yes, even the wrappers! Students worked in teams to mix, roll, fill, and fold their dumplings with care. We also created a variety of flavorful sauces to pair with our handmade creations.

On March 19th our high school concert band performed at the regional NCWMEA band festival at Chelan High School. They put on another great performance after Monday night's concert and came away with an Excellent rating for their performance. Congratulations high school band!

Here are a few photos from the NCW Regional Art Show Awards Presentation in Wenatchee this past weekend.
Senior Yasmeen Quidwai had her art piece "Epileptic Journey" selected as "Best In Show". Her artwork in now being judged for selection in the OSPI Art Show in Olympia. We will hear about the results of that some time in April.

The Boys' Soccer games originally scheduled for Wednesday, March 19th, have been moved to Tuesday, March 18th. The Boys' JV plays Manson at 4, and the Boys' Varsity plays Liberty Bell at 6. These games are at home Pioneer Stadium.
The Tennis Jamboree scheduled for Saturday, March 15th, has been canceled.
